Minecraft MOTD generator.
Write the two lines players see under your server's name in the multiplayer list. Add colors and formatting with the toolbar or & codes, check them in a live preview, and copy the exact line for server.properties, BungeeCord, Velocity, plugins or Bedrock.

Minecraft draws the MOTD in its own font, so spacing can differ a little in the game. Test it on your server before you share it.

server.properties

BungeeCord or Waterfall
config.yml (under listeners)
motd: "&6&lMy Server &8» &fSurvival &7and &fSkyblock\n&aA new season is live! &eJoin now"
Hex colors become the nearest classic color.
Velocity
velocity.toml
motd = "<gold><bold>My Server <reset><dark_gray>» <reset><white>Survival <reset><gray>and <reset><white>Skyblock\n<green>A new season is live! <reset><yellow>Join now"
Velocity reads MiniMessage tags, hex colors included.
MOTD plugins
Plugins that read & codes (e.g. ServerListPlus)
&6&lMy Server &8» &fSurvival &7and &fSkyblock &aA new season is live! &eJoin now
Keeps hex colors as &#rrggbb, which most plugins on 1.16+ understand.
Bedrock Dedicated Server
server.properties
server-name=§6§lMy Server §8» §fSurvival §7and §fSkyblock
Bedrock shows one line, and has no underline or strikethrough.
Color and format codes
Each code is an ampersand followed by one character: &0 to &f are the 16 colors, &l bold, &o italic, &n underline, &m strikethrough, &k scrambled text and &r resets everything. Put the color first: in Java Edition a color code also switches off bold, italic and the other formats, so &a&l gives bold green but &l&a gives plain green. Server files use the section sign (§) instead of &; the formats above are converted for you.
