Questions

What does this Minecraft RAM calculator include?
The estimate combines a starting memory allowance for your server software, players online, Java view distance and any plugins or mods. It then adds 20% headroom for Java, or 10% for Bedrock, and rounds up to an available plan.
How many players should I enter?
Enter the number you expect to be connected at the same time. Total registered players are not the same as players online.
How should I size a modpack?
Select Modded Java and enter the number of mods in the pack. Use the estimate as a starting point and check the modpack’s own server requirements, because individual mods can have very different needs.
Should I choose Budget or Performance?
The suggested tier reflects your inputs. Budget uses AMD EPYC with DDR4 RAM; Performance uses AMD Ryzen 7 with DDR5 RAM. A RAM estimate alone cannot predict server performance, so consider your world and plugins alongside the recommended size.
